After Hours Blues

After Hours Blues is taking a break. Check back with us in May for new dates and times

How do you dance to blues? Any way you like. The blues are the foundation of most dance traditions - from the Charleston and Lindy Hop, through Big Band Swing and the NY Hustle to West Coast Swing. Use your dance moves to stretch out to the blues. An intro lesson will give you a basic understanding or blues styling that you can use with the dancing you already know.

The Aril 8, 2011's dance at Absolute Ballroom will feature a lesson from 8:00 til 9:00 with Jenny Sowden from NYC. Jenny won this year's Steel City Blues Festival Jack 'n Jill contest and we are excited to have her teaching at our dance. Dj's Ed and Joy will be playing for your dancing pleasure from 9:00 til midnight.
